Main cause: the main thermistor (TH1) has poor contact or an open circuit.The thermal switch (TP1) has an open circuit.The fixing heater has an open circuit.The SSR is faulty.The DC controller PCB faulty.Mode of detection: 0000 after the main power switch is turned on,the temperature detected by the main thermistor does not reach 70ºC.
Caution: The error must be be reset in service mode (COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR)

  • E001

Main cause: The main thermistor (TH1) has a short circuit.The sub thermistor (TH2) has detected overheating.The SSR is faulty.The DC controller PCB is faulty.Mode of detection:0001 The main thermistor or the sub thermistor has detected about 230ºC or higher for 2 sec.0002 The main thermistor has detected 230ºC or higher (hard circuit detection)0003 The sub thermistor has detected about 236ºC or higher. Main cause: The fixing web has been taken up. The fixing web length sensor (PS45) is faulty.The DC controller PCB is faulty.Mode of detection:0000 The length of fixing web that has been taken up is in excess of the specified length. Caution: After replacing the fixing web, be sure to reset the two web counters in service mode:COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FIX-WEB and COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1>FX-WEB.

Toner

Toner is a powder used in laser printers and photocopiers which forms the text and images on the printed paper. In its early form it was simply carbon powder. In order to improve the quality of the printout the individual carbon particles were blended in a polymer. The polymer particles can be melted by the heat of the fuser, causing it to bind to the fibers in the paper.In a copier, the toner stored inside a cartridge is stuck on larger, positively charged beads. As toner-coated beads are made to roll over the drum, the toner particles are more attracted by the positively charged ions on the unexposed areas on the drum's surface than the weakly charged beads. Later, the same particles are attracted even more towards the electro-statically charged paper. The plastic in the toner lets the user keep it from jumping ship once he/she has finally got it on the paper.In order to perform these tasks, quartz tube lamps and Teflon-coated rollers are required. First, the sheet of paper is sent between two of the rollers. Following it, the rollers are gently pressed down on the page to embed the toner in the paper fiber.
In the meantime, the lamps are on inside the rollers, producing sufficient heat to melt the toner. The toner, however, does not melt onto the rollers. How? The Teflon coating on the rollers prevents the toner and paper from sticking to them. The Price of toner is about US$10/kg but if you want the best the price is US$50.

Paper cassette problem

I have a problem with my cassette deck, the paper dont want to go up so i cant print,after i search the problem is locate at the sensor in the cassette deck and with the machine.
To solve this problem i just use duct tape put it at the machine sensor just like in the third pictures and the paper is ready to print

Feeder always tilt down

If the feeder cover is loose (can't stop in the middle) always tilt down, i have the solutions:

1 Go find piece of acrylic about 3 mm thick
2 With a screwdriver hold the spring and slide it the acrylic at the left side (see pict)
carefull the spring is hard and difficult

If you done the feeder is now can stop at the middle not going down or close all the time

Theres alot copier machines brand in Jakarta like Xerox,Minolta,Canon but stay or chose with Canon because the spareparts is easy to find and not to expensive.
Dont forget to bring one ream of paper if you decide to buy the machine, after you negotition about the price you can test it the machine with your paper (the store dont provide the paper) ask the salesman to turn it on the machine and copy as many you like just watch the machine work see if its error or paper jam.
If you can chose the counter below one million (1000000) more expensive but it can tell you that the machine is better performance,but becareful some store can manipulate the counter.
My recomend if you can go to MCM they are better, the price little high but the service is good, they also have the spareparts in case your machine need it.
